I have very long thick hair (like so thick most hairdressers have seen nothing like it) and I can style my hair with this little guy in about 15 min I do my sis and friends in less than 10 min! This product is is a lifesaver for my crazy hair! It takes a few practice runs to get it, but don't get discouraged. It holds the curls for 24hrs at least so it's worth the styling time. Don't settle for a cheaper drugstore curling wand this is the one to save up for!

She had requested a good curling iron with a range of heat settings. Since I have one like it and love it, I knew she would like it also. In fact, she likes it so well that she also wants one with a 1 inch or 1/1/4 inch barrel for larger curls. I love the curling iron because of the high heat settings (380 degrees works for me), and also the design and placement of the controls.
It is a great product with great features!

This one has less sturdy casing, does not get as hot, and only has three settings - high, medium, or low. Overall, it does the job, but just not as well as I expected. I have very thick hair, so perhaps someone with less thick hair will have a better experience.

I always have trouble keeping the curl in my hair with a normal curling iron but not with this one. The curls will stay all day, well unless you get your hair wet. This is definitely worth the price. The 25 mm curling iron is not really for short hair (hair that is shoulder length or above) unless you want a wave.

(More customer reviews)I am Asian, and have thin, fine hair. When I bought this 6 months back, there were only a handful of options for a 1.25 ionic, tourmaline curling iron. I primarily was looking for this technology because its supposed to make your hair shinier and a healthier alternative to the traditional irons. I decided to go with Metropolis over Magic Ping because of the 10 year warranty. You just can't beat that. Aside from the curling iron feeling a bit lighter than expected (light enough where it feels a bit cheap), I can't really complain. It performs beautifully. I get great looking curls, without the feeling that I'm burning my hair and to my surprise the curls last all day with barely any product needed. Even when I wake up the next morning my curls still have some life in them.

(More customer reviews)My friend has a Helen of Troy Hair straightener and I use it on my hair when I forget to bring my other brand straightener over her house.
Helen of Troy heats up VERY fast, and work extremely well, straightener large portions of my hair at a time without buring my hair in a faster time. It does a better job than other straighteners that I have tried.
The only downfall is that after about two years of use, the striaghtener died.
Also, when you straighten your hair, sometimes pieces of hair get caught in the sides of the gold plates. but its only a strand of hair about every other time I straighten.

Braun answered my email by saying it no longer makes them.So while you can -- buy them at Amazon and buy all the energy cells you can. This product will soon not be available at all. That's too bad. I love my Braun cordless curling iron, although it does not last long and I usually have to buy a new one each 9-12 months.

(More customer reviews)When I first received this flat iron, I noticed immediately that it was the Jose Eber Signature Series Flat Iron in the pink/bronze, not the Pro Series pink. I called Amazon Customer Service, who agreed to express ship me another one, which was again the incorrect flat iron. I will be returning them both. The flat iron Amazon sends is the Signature Series, a lighter pink color with bronze plates, and is temperature-adjustable. It is also NOT dual-voltage as is stated in the product description. I bought this to take on a trip to Italy, but I will be using my cheaper Zoe flat iron since it is in fact dual-voltage. I have always been a loyal CHI flat iron user, but they do not come in dual-voltage and will blow fuses and ruin the flat iron if you use them overseas with the proper converters and adapters, so I was hoping this would at least equal the efficiency of my CHI. It is slow to heat and doesn't do the best job straightening and de-frizzing hair. Not a horrible iron for someone with normal hair and only using it here in the US, but I have thicker hair and am traveling for three months, and this will not work for me. Just be aware that you will be receiving the Signature Series, not the Pro series (yes, there is a difference).

(More customer reviews)I researched numerous flat irons before choosing this BaByliss product. I had previously owned a BaByliss, but an older model and at first I though I would change brands. The mixed reviews on this product were confusing, but when I received the product I was happily surprised that it exceeding my expectations. I have long, thick and somewhat corse hair and this product works tremendously in a very short period of time leaving my hair straigh and smooth the way I like it. It heats up quickly, does not pull (unless I take too much hair and try to go too quickly) and basically works GREAT. Even my salonist recommended the BaByliss products b/c that's what she uses.
So, if your hesitating....wonder no more this is a great product at an AMAZING price!

(More customer reviews)I use this iron quite frequently to do large spiral curls in my long hair. The size is also good for doing standard curls and/or straightening short hair. The hair slides off smoothly and they distribute heat evenly, leaving a pretty silky curl every time.
I've owned a collection of ~15 Kizure irons for 10+ years that are all still going strong. No rusting, breaking, chipping...still in excellent condition, much like the day I bought them. I haven't done anything to maintain them, they just seem to get better with regular use. I've heard with other thermal/marcel irons, hair sticks to them over time. I've experienced this with my Gold'n hot plug in irons, but NEVER with my Kizure marcels.
Note for non-professionals: These irons do take some getting used to. I use them for my personal hair care. It didn't take me long to get good at it (maybe 2 hair styles?). But be sure you practice with your stove set to LOW HEAT, otherwise, you may scorch your hair or skin as these irons will get VERY hot.

(More customer reviews)To start off with I woulf just like to let you know that I have VERY thick curly curly hair (like tight ringlets if i dont do anything to my hair) and it is mid/long length. I used cheap straighteners (conair, etc) and my hair would be curly again with a couple hours, which is no use for me. I found out out about this straightener while on vacation with a friend, and this was the type she used. I borrowed it from her and wanted it ever since. She purchased it for me for my birthday because I could not invest in it, haha. Everyday i thanked her for it. I have been using the same straightener for about a year now, and it is still in the same condition as when i bought it. My friends all use it when they come to my house, and always rave about it. My hair is always pin straight, smooth, and very very shiny, much to my delight. It is lightweight too, so it doesnt put a lot of stress on my wrists and hands. The only fault I can find with this straightener is if you use it continously on hard to manage hair(15+min in a row) it loses some of its heat and it works best if you let it sit for a moment to kind of reheat. But it keeps my extremely curly hair pin straight from 9 at night until 8 the next night(and it would probably stay longer if i didnt shower!) I recommend this straightener to everyone and anyone with any type of hair.

Jose Eber Straightening Iron Signature Series Black Flat Iron New Review

I purchased this product and was told the following: "If the product cracks or malfunctions, return with the receipt for an even exchange." WELL!! I turned my flat iron on and it cracked in two different places. This happened to my friends as well. I went to get my "even exchange" and was told there was a "new policy" and it would now cost me $30 to exchange. I didn't buy mine under the "new" policy! Another person told me it would cost $10 under this new exchange policy because they will need to ship it back to the manufacturer. I will never purchase another one of these flat irons! The so called "lifetime warranty/return policy is not consistent and an $80 flat iron should NOT crack after 3 months!
