(More customer reviews)I had these item only 2 months and used it 3 times before it broke!!! the handle is made of plastic and glued together so when the on and off switch started to "float" back and forth, there is no way to fix it. when i asked the seller to replace it they said "sorry, its been over a month....." I have been doing hair for 20 years and have never seen a bigger piece of crap.... buyer beware!!! biggest waste of money... !!!

Belson Gold-N-Hot Curl Iron 1-1/4" Bumper Review

(More customer reviews)I've had several Gold N Hot irons and I officially give up. They break very easily. Never dropped them or handled the roughly, plastic just starts breaking off the things. There is a plastic tip on the handle that has broken off 2 of my irons. That leaves the iron unusable because the handle is too hot to use without it. Another problem is that the irons are so slow heating up. I definitely do not recommend these irons. I was going to only give 1 star, but after they finally heat up and before they break, they are nice irons.

Hot Tools Professional 3/4" Brush Iron Review

(More customer reviews)I give this item one star because of lack of durability. It will get very hot very quickly. However, after about a year's use, the round black piece at the top of the brush breaks off and cannot be repaired. I have owned this brand of curling brush for more than six years and every year I must buy a new one because the tip breaks off. I currently have two of these and they are both broken. You are probably wondering why I keep buying it if I know the tip will break off. Well, when it works it is great and it gets as hot as I like. I have tried other brands in the past and haven't been satisfied with their heat level. I need to buy another curling iron brush, so, once again, I'll start searching for one with this much wattage. I hope to find another brand, because this is getting ridiculously expensive. Anyhow, be aware that you'll only be able to use this for about one year (the length of the warranty by the way). If that's okay with you, then go ahead and enjoy it while you can!

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Mega Hot Professional 3/4" Ceramic Tourmaline Ionic curling iron for my 18-year-old granddaughter for Christmas. She had requested a good curling iron with a range of heat settings. Since I have one like it and love it, I knew she would like it also. In fact, she likes it so well that she also wants one with a 1 inch or 1/1/4 inch barrel for larger curls. I love the curling iron because of the high heat settings (380 degrees works for me), and also the design and placement of the controls.
It is a great product with great features!

(More customer reviews)I've owned Hot Tools items before & know I can always count on them to work well & be durable. This is a great tool for giving my hair smaller, tighter curls. I have another Hot Tools iron with a 1" barrel that gives me looser curls. I've used the Marcel grip for a long time & most people I know, including my hairdresser, use the clip type curling irons. I like this grip because it is easy to twirl my hair around it though it took practice many years ago when I first started learning to use it. This is a great product!

This is great since it has a dial for setting just the right temp to work with my hair. No more frying it trying to get it to curl on a curling iron that is too cold. The cord swivels easily out of the way while you are working making it great for those of us doing our own hair. On off switch is placed so as not to accidentally shut it off.

(More customer reviews)I have hair that is considered hard to curl. It's long, thick and a little bit coarse and wavy. My hair won't take a perm, so curling it has always been a challenge. This curling iron is outstanding! It's has 40 heat settings, and it curls quickly, almost instantaneosly. I have used other curling irons and had to put them on the highest heat setting and hold the curling iron for about 20 seconds to get it to curl. In fact, be very careful the first time you use it, it's that fast and that hot. Absolutely worth the cost.

When I found the Helen of Troy marcel handle curling iron again, I bought two of them. The silver barrel is not as harsh on my hair as the gold barrels are.
Marcel handles make it easier for me to swing the curl the way I want it to swing. I have but one regret, I didn't get it in a larger size.

I am an avid beauty product customer, who does their research before buying products and this has been my best purchase by far. This curling iron was inexpensive and made my dry, bleached, damaged hair turn to smooth, silky, touchable locks. (More customer reviews)I had to buy this after I used my little sister's iron several times. I have never seen such amazing results from a curling iron. The MOST amazing thing that it does is smooth out hair, equal or better to that of a flat iron. I have long hair with very dry, split ends, but when I use this curling iron it smooths them out so well, it looks like I have perfectly healthy hair. It was VERY easy to use, easier than most curling irons, because of the swiveling knob on the bottom (hard to describe, but it definitely helps.) Also, since it heats up so fast and gets so hot, it's a major time saver. I also own the 2" version, but I like the curls I get from this iron better.

It took me a few minutes to figure out how to "work" it - it is not spring-loaded like most curling irons - but I bought it because my hairdresser uses one just like it and it truly gives me the best curls that last for days - the first day curls, the next day great waves...even the third day can still look cute with a minor touch-up if I am too busy to wash my hair.
