(More customer reviews)I recently tried a friends Keratin Complex 4 in 1 curling system. It was amazing! I have been using a Chi to curl my hair for years, but as we all know, it is a little more difficult. I don't like traditional curling irons because they leave kinks from the clamp, or don't hold curl. I wanted to find a substitute that was cheaper than the Keratin curling system (it is about $300). I also only needed one size, not all four. I found this on here, recieved it in two days, and the rest is history. It does just as good of a job at the Keratin brand for way, way, way cheaper. The curls HOLD and no more kinks. The only reason I gave this a 4 star is because it doesn't have a heat control button. It does come with a thermal glove, which is not mentioned on this listing. Buy this product! Great deal.

(More customer reviews)On Sunday, my Conair butane powered curling iron stopped heating. It's about 10 years old, but I've only used it regularly (2/3x week) for the last 3/4 years. I had recently purchased many thermacell refills on ebay, so was quite disappointed. I love the ability to use this anywhere without worry of finding electricity--camping and car trips are the best!
Looked locally for a replacement but to no avail (small town...) Anyhow, I was very hesitant, looking at the previous review, but the price (under $10 including shipping) seemed reasonable enough to take a chance on it, and it did look a lot like my current iron. Got it in today, less than a week after ordering, and tried it out-it works great! No heating problems that I can tell-works as good as I'm used to-gets just as hot as any iron. Plus, the heat cover for my old iron fits this one as well-it was the perfect replacement. Must be an older model, but it was perfect for my needs!

Yes, I love this curling iron as it does a great job straightening and smoothing the riotous red curls I fight after every shampoo. The iron is easy to use, it's not unattractive as such items go, and it has a wide-range of settings.
The issue I've had with it has been in the spring mechanism that will wear down rendering the iron unable to open or close properly.
Also, I had previously only found this iron at Sally's Beauty Supply for $80. Ouch. So the issue with the spring and the need to replace the iron was irritating. Sally's took back a couple of the irons after the springs wore out after only three months. But the last iron I have used (and which I was replacing this time) lasted for almost two years before giving out completely.
In looking to replace my iron I found that Amazon offered it at a great price from an affiliate. I couldn't believe how much cheaper this same iron was here. I was so happy with the price that I decided to buy the iron again and then be able to cheaply replace it when the spring on the new iron gave out.
What a nice surprise I had when finding TWO replacement springs included in the box. Apparently the manufacturer is aware of the problem. There is also an order form for replacement springs for $2.50 + shipping. With the two springs included in with my new iron I was able to repair my old iron to keep in our RV, and have the new one - with an extra spring at the ready - in my home.

(More customer reviews)I have medium length, naturally curly hair that's fine, not thick. I usually let it dry naturally, but this appliance is so easy to use. The brush doesn't tangle your hair up like other brush-dryers do (my last piece of Vidal Sasson garbage). The curling iron attachment uses hot air rather than heat, which is much better for your hair. Works really well, one of the best dryers I've used and MUCH better than holding a brush and a blow dryer!

I like this hair appliance. It gives me a new hairstyle that I looks different. It's not just the same style that's curled at the ends, nor is it the straightened look. I have thick long hair, and it works fine... make sure you crimp little sections though. If you want to make sure your hair will stay and show the curls, you have to add hairspray and gel. If you don't have either, your hair will still be wavy, but it won't be as prominent. It takes a while, so make sure you have a lot of time to get ready! Good luck, and have fun with it :o)

CONAIR 1'CURLING IRON INSTANT HEAT 25 SETTINGS Review

(More customer reviews)I am the kind of person who will splurge on cosmetics and beauty products and feel it's worth it so I don't necessarily look for the bargain buy in this area but the best working product.
Fortunately, this curling iron is not only priced well for the value, it beats out the "old school" curling irons I've used for the last 30 years.
I actually bought mine at Walgreens for a higher price after reading about it in a magazine.
Unlike any other iron I've used this one actually heats up in...wait for it....wait for it....30 SECONDS!!!
You can also choose your heat level from 1-15 but be leary of that 15---that is a scorcher.
However, some may be looking for that high of a heat. I keep it around the medium to medium high numbers and it curls in an instant. And I have uber thick hair.
Touch ups are instant rather than waiting for the iron to heat up. If I am going out and find I've missed a spot I can basically now instantly reheat the iron and have it hot 30 seconds after I turn it on.
Negative: I'm probaby odd in that I always hold my curling iron real close to the barrel. Because of this a few times I've accidentally turned the heat level without trying. Not a big deal, but something I'd change if I could to make the wheel maybe a little harder to turn.
Conclusion: tops in my book. I won't go back to the curling irons of the past where I have to wait for them to heat. Instant gratification, baby! :-)

(More customer reviews)I've always had a really hard time using a regular curling iron because the clip always left that ugly crease mark and then I'd have to load my head up in hairspray just for it to fall in an hour or two. I have been using hot curlers for a few years now and they do work pretty well. I can acheive the look that I want with them but I do have to fill my hair with hairspray and it lasts a while but by the and of the night it's fallen so bad that it looks like icecicles on my head. So I thought I'd venture out and try this iron cuz I'm alway looking for the next best thing. I absolutely love it! I can do so many different looks with this thing and I never ever have had to put any hairspray in it and it lasts all night and will still be curly when I wake up. I even like to use it when I do my hair streight because it works really well for doing that bump on the crown. I get complements on my hair all the time from friends and complete strangers. People always asking me how I did it. When I tell them that I don't use any spray and it stays a day long, they wanna know where I got it and how much it is. I've been told that I need to be getting paid for being such a good advertiser. Love the curling iron. Would recommend it to anyone with hair and I'm sure I'll be trying out another Enzo Milano iron again soon.

Made in Thailand, this little iron takes about a minute to heat up and is just as good (if not better cuz of no cords!) than any other curling iron out there in a similar price range. I thought the butane cartrige was genius and they are cheap! It also comes in a cute case to carry it with that measures about 2" by 7" (appx) so you can fit it anywhere!
I highly recommend this product.

It creates fabulous curls in almost no time at all and it is a lot of fun to use.
I have always struggled in the past with curling irons and the crimped end portion. This product prevents the crimped tip.
The inch size is perfect for my shoulder length hair.
I would have given this product five stars if it had a temperature control. Its just a little too hot for my hair, but for others is might be perfect.
Just a warning... wear the glove that comes with it, and a long sleeve shirt. I burnt my fore arm a few days ago and it will leave a nasty scar for a few weeks.
Overall, I like this product and would recommend it.

(More customer reviews)This curling iron has great features, like the automatic shut-off (haven't tested that yet) and a range of heat settings. I love the sleeve that fits over the iron when you are done using it; I feel that is a great safety feature to help protect my curious toddler.
The dial that sets the heat level is in an awkward spot though, and while using the iron I accidentally change the setting with my thumb often. This order took forever to arrive. It was ordered the end of May and arrived in August (2004).
Jan 2010 - My curling iron is over 5 years old now and still works great!

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased this curling iron at a mega-discount store while shopping for groceries. It was an impulse purchase. My usual pattern is to first check out reviews before I buy many new items. In that particular case, I am very, very glad that I did not check out the reviews first, because they would have prevented me from making this purchase! I'll never understand all the negative reviews here. Perhaps Revlon has updated this curling iron, and worked out all the bugs that reviewers are talking about.
However, my experience is that this is a great product. First of all, it heats up immediately. It has a GREAT hold on the hair, so that it does not slip out of the iron as you work with it. That is a huge bonus for me. It helped me do my hair in half the time.
If I am not doing anything special, I look for the easiest ways to do my hair without finishing up looking unkempt. With the Revlon Perfect Heat Professional Styling Iron, I was able to fluff-dry my hair (without the pulling of a styling brush) and finish off by taking several sections with the iron, letting them cool, and PRESTO -- my hair was done. I used a head band, back-combed the crown a bit and my hair fell into jumbo curls and waves without a too-poofy look.
You can't ask for better than this.

Feels comfortable in your hand. Easy to work with. Will curl very tight curls. I used it on my daughter's hair by using large sections of hair and it produced nice spiral curls. It does get very hot, so you probably won't even need the highest setting.

The 25mm is brilliant for longer hair & gives a bigger natural wave to the hair rather then a definate curl, but it depends on the thickness of the hair you are working on. Really great for a quick fix & a very glamorous hair style. just be carfeul, the barrel gets extremely hot - gloves are enclosed for your hands but just mind your face, neck etc when using it.

(More customer reviews)This is an awesome curling iron, which heats up super fast and even across the entire curling surface (no hot spots). The multi-heat settings and LCD readout are also clever and very useful features as well. The cost is amazing and the shipping from Amazon couldn't be faster! So, with all of these raves, why do I not give it a perfect 5 star rating? Well, two minor quibles keep me from giving it a perfect score. First of all, the LCD panel displays the temperature setting that you selected, but it gives you no indication of when the iron has been heated to that setting. There should be some sort of visible notification to let the user know that the iron has achieved the desired temperature. Also, included in the box is a clever slip on cover that you can supposedly slide over the iron, after it has been shut off, to protect you from the hot surface of the slowly cooling iron. However, the slip on sleeve becomes extremely hot to the touch, so it offers very little protection. And since the cover is plastic I am afraid that it could possibly melt and/or cause some damage to the iron surface.
Overall I think this curling iron deserves a solid 4 and 1/2 stars, but falls short of a perfect 5. I feel very confident in recommending it to anyone looking for a high quality iron that will meet or exceed their expectations. This iron is a top performer with just a couple of little shortcomings.

(More customer reviews)So I was recommended to try this in order to get the Taylor Swift curls and I thought for the price why not try it. Well let me save you a Jackson ($20)....do not get this. First off the little holder does hold our hair especially if it is thin or you have layered hair. Also it is not easy to wrap it around the spirals. It says it is easier to follow and it is not. Also the top of the iron does not have a finished surface. Stray pieces of hair get stuck at the top and when you unroll the iron it pull out those stray hairs. Also it does not curl it well. Lastly, forget the little stand that is comes with. It falls over. This could cause a fire hazard! Seriously invest in a good flat iron. You can curl and straighten your hair.
