(More customer reviews)I purchased this styler because I liked the fact that it curls and straitens, though I would mostly be using it for the former. However on even the highest setting for probably longer than is advisable I could only get the most subtle wave at the bottom of my hair. It may be better as only a straitening tool, if you are looking for something to give you great curls I'd advise you to keep looking.

Nume Vintage Purple 1.25" Ceramic Ionized Flat Iron / Hair Straightener (Nu Me) Dual Voltage 110v-240v Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this iron in pink today at a kiosk in my local mall. My hair before the sales person demonstrated on me was frizzy loose curls that I had created the day before with a round brush and my blow dryer. The first thing the rep did was show me a loose curl created with the flat iron. It was shiny, soft, smooth, and very much frizz free. I was totally impressed because my current flat iron is bulky and I have to pass my hair through it a couple of times to get it totally flat (even with its steam feature), but not with the Nu Me...one pass and it was beautiful. The MSRP on the box was $275. The rep offered to sell for $139, but I ended up getting him down to $99. (Looks like I saved about $15 compared to Amazon prices.) I also purchased one of the iron holders with suction cups (he said price was $49...purchased for $15.) I came straight home and stared practicing doing curls. I only gave 4 stars since I haven't even had it a day.
BTW -- I was told there is a 5 yr warranty. The box says to activate the warranty on the website. I did not see any where on the site to activate it. I have emailed the company...we'll see.

(More customer reviews)While the straightener works well. It only works as well as my broken Corioliss. The plates on the straightener that I received grabbed at my hair instead of gliding over, and I had to go over it multiple times. My hair remained wavy in some areas no matter how long I concentrated on it, or how small I made the sections. I feel as though the Amika at the mall worked much better than this one did. I would not advise this straightener set to anyone who has hard to straighten hair and actually needs high-end straighteners to get their hair straight. For someone who's got easy to straighten hair, I'm sure that this set will work wonders for you. The curling iron, at best, left my hair with VERY loose spirals. Again. I would recommend this set to someone with easy to style hair, but not to someone who has hard to style hair. I am going to give my Mother this set, and invest my money in a Chii. The seller, however, does rather decently with shipping and I received my purchase around the time that I expected. I also did not receive a dryer with this, it was actually a mini-styler. A very small version of the straightener.

(More customer reviews)I just bought my first flat iron and had no place to put it while it was cooling except a damp towel. I went to some local stores who sold flat irons, but none of them had any kind of holder. Most of the holders I saw on the Internet were black. I liked this one because it is white and matched my bathroom better. Hint, someone should design this in colors! When I'm done using the hot iron, I just unplug it and put it in this holder and I can leave the bathroom without worrying that the iron will fall over or set something on fire. This company was also very good with shipping and I had no problems at all with them.

Amika Trio Hair Styling Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I wrote this review when this set cost me only 65 bucks..... I really like this set, the Flat Iron alone is worth the buy. The curling tool works awesome, Its too small for my hair but I used it on other people and it works great. The Blow Dryer, Eh! Its supposed to be small, so I cannot hope that it would be super powerful. Its good for traveling but not my cup of tea for daily use. All in All Im happy with my purchase if only for the Flat Iron, its the best item. Also they give you this little Heat Glove to use with the Clipless Curling Iron, its pink thought that was a nice lil add on.
