My daughter had this one for 2 years and is still holding well to the counter, so I got the same one.I clean the bathrooms every week and have to pull this off and stick it back on and has not lost any of its grip.I do not know how it sticks to a mirror, but it is rock solid on a counter top. It is a little pricey, but is worth getting!! I would give as a gift to friends who use flat irons!

Vidal Sasson VS019 Studio Tools Styling Iron Storage Bag Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this for two reasons. One, I wanted to be able to take my flat iron to the gym and not have to wrap it in a towel to keep it from burning the bag when I was done. Two, I have recently mobile twins and they kept trying to pull the hot irons from the counter. So, either way as soon as I finished with the iron (flat or 1.5" curling iron) I would slide it in the bag and stash the cord in the handy external pocket. It looks neat, it is safe and it protects my gym bag. It is not as cool looking as some of the other ones, but it does a great job.

Amika Hair Iron Holder (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I like the concept of this flat iron holder. It keeps the hot iron off of my makeup vanity. My only problem is that the suction cups on the bottom do not adhere well to the varnished wood surface of my vanity. I'm sure this holder would work great on a glass or ceramic-type surface.
Update, I recently purchased the Amika Clipless Curling Iron and it won't stay in this holder. I think that the curling iron is too bottom-heavy, so it tips the holder over. And since the suction does not work on wood, everything kept falling over. Good luck with yours...

(More customer reviews)I bought this because I was tired of using the carrying pouch I had to protect my counter top. The problem with that was that it took up too much room and it was ugly. It was always out because I use my CHI every single day. So, I bought this. It solved all my problems. It suctioned very easily to my marble counter top and it's been there ever since. It hasn't moved at all and I'm not gentle when I'm shoving the iron in and out of it. If you have a CHI that you leave out all the time, this is a must. I wish I would have bought it 3 years ago when I bought my CHI. I hope this helps.

I've used it for a few weeks now and I can put my Conair Infiniti in right after I turn it off and the pouch doesn't even feel hot. The pocket on the back is great for keeping the cord in, that way the cord doesn't get all tangled up with my other hair items. I really do recommend this item, you will definitely use it!
