Ion Heat Protection Spray Review

Ion Heat Protection Spray
Average Reviews:

Short Review:
Good:
-Protects hair
-Conditions
-Would probably work great for thick, dry hair
Bad:
-Fine hair will be greasy
-I'm not in love with the smell
Long Review:
I bought this when I decided to try curling my fine, straight hair. I have always had many problems with my hair being greasy at the roots but dry and splitting at the tips. The instructions on the bottle tell you to spray on individual sections of hair (but not the roots). The first time I used it, I sprayed one to two spritzes on a 1/2 section from about 6 inches away and combed it through. Then I styled my hair. My hair was greasy as all get out and I dared not let it touch my neck for fear of causing my acne to flair up. (Note: the list of things that cause my acne to flair up include such items as sunscreen, lotions, and breathing air. I suspect a normal person would not have been as paranoid as I was.)
Figuring I had simple overdone it (which is usually true of everything I do), I tried using much less the next time and from a farther distance. I still found my hair to be too oily for my tastes. At this point, I considered this product pretty worthless to me and decided to pitch it right after I washed it out of my hair. However, it was after I rinsed this stuff out of my hair that I discovered a wonderful thing. This stuff conditions my hair like no other! Until my next shower, my tips were neither oily nor dry. They were soft and smooth. I put my hair up before my shower, spray the ends of my hair, shampoo and condition as normal (only the tips get conditioner, because that also makes my hair greasy), let air dry in my sleep and I have super silky, smooth, flat hair the next day. This alone brought my rating up a star. While I probably won't purchase another bottle, I have a use for the one I do own.
A note on the smell. Some days I am okay with it, other days it makes me nauseous. It's fairly low odor, (ie. it doesn't smell like flowers), but I'm just not into it.

Fuse By Conair Cs50px Straightener, Cheetah Review

This was my first time ordering something from amazon and i chose to buy this flatiron. First of all you think your getting a deal on this but your not because the shipping and handling cost more than the thing your purchasing, and the picture is very misleading. It seems as though the company does not ship purple flatirons they can only send you the pink ones. I am already displeased with this product to the point where i don't even want to use it in my hair.

Le Angelique CareTin Straightener - Curler Titanium Ionic Flat Iron. Review

Le Angelique CareTin Straightener - Curler Titanium Ionic Flat Iron.

There was fancy packaging. The iron has a cool design but the quality of it feels cheap and flimsy like the button used to turn it off and on. The plastic just feels frail including the heat dial. Being this expensive you might as well buy a Chi or better known brand. Regardless, it does what it needs to do and heats up at a reasonable time.

Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Hair Styling Iron (3/4") Review

Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Hair Styling Iron (3/4)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have had Chi and FHI flat irons and this one tops them all. I am African American with very thick hair and this iron leaves my hair silky and shiny! It looks like I went to the salon and the size is perfect for my new short cut. Also, what I love most is my hair does not frizz and I don't get that burnt hair smell. My hair looks healthy and shiny (I do use heat protectant) and I don't even have to use it every day, the curls last a long time. Highly recommend this brand, wish I would have bought sooner.

Remington S9500 Salon Collection Digital Ceramic Hair Straightener with Pearl Infused Wide Plates, 1 Inch Review

Remington S9500 Salon Collection Digital Ceramic Hair Straightener with Pearl Infused Wide Plates, 1 Inch
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been a house model at Vidal Sassoon for more years than I care to remember and as such am very familiar with the virtues of the flat iron (it helps make a geometric cut look even stronger). I asked my stylist back in 1999 or 2000 who manufactured the iron she used and on her recommendation I purchased the same one (the top of the line at that time), an Italian-made Solano Sapphire Iron, from a beauty supply store. I've been using that (obviously well-made) iron ever since with no problems but I came to observe that my stylist was now using something else and so asked her about it.
It seems that in the last 10 or so years, ceramic plates have become the hot (pun intended) new technology in flat irons--they apparently treat the hair more gently at high temperatures than the non-stick metal plates. She now uses and recommends the irons made by GHD; they, however (like the Sapphire), are quite expensive and I just couldn't justify spending the money when there was nothing wrong with my Sapphire, other than the fact that it was old. Needless to say, I couldn't push "Send Me This" fast enough when I was offered the opportunity to test drive the Remington S9500.
Given that my Sapphire just plugs in, there's a lot to like about the S9500. For one thing, the cord itself swivels--a major convenience. And there's a power switch, too, as well as a safety function that kicks in after an hour (a long time, to my way of thinking) to turn the unit off. But what I like best is that the temperature is adjustable and ranges from 300º to 450º F--an enormous advantage over my Sapphire which has only one temperature (I don't know what it is). I have very fine, color-treated hair and it turns out that pretty much every temperature in the low range (300º - 340º F) gets me the results I want and quickly, too (i.e., I need not iron longer in order to compensate for a lower temperature). All of these functions, including heat-up time (signaled by an audible but discreet beep), are indicated on an easy-to-read digital display and the unit locks in a closed position for storage. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased.
It's worth noting that when the temperature lock function is engaged, the power button doesn't work until the temperature is unlocked. Also, for those new to flat ironing, do NOT use a flat iron on wet, or even damp, hair. Flat ironing is meant to be done ONLY on dry hair. The Remington S9500 is an excellent flat iron for the price and comes with a limited 4-year warranty to help sweeten the deal. As someone who has been flat-ironing her hair for at least the past 10 years or so, I can say with some authority that this is a good product.

Combining advanced technology, high-performance ceramic coating, and real crushed pearls, the Remington T|Studio Pearl Ceramic 1-Inch Slim Straightener delivers professional, salon-quality results with each use. It quickly reaches a top heat of 450 degrees Fahrenheit and has precise digital controls with temperature lock so you can enjoy smooth, silky hair in just minutes.
Remington's Pearl CollectionFeaturing straighteners, styling wands, and hair dryers, Remington's luxurious Pearl collection harnesses the precious power of pearl and Advanced Ceramic technology to create hair you can't help but touch.
Ceramic: The Hair Straightener EssentialIf you want to achieve salon-quality hair straightening from your own home, meet the Pearl Straightener. Ceramic has become the big buzz word in hair straightening--that's because ceramic improves heat distribution and helps the selected temperature remain even throughout the entire plate, so there are no hot spots.
Ceramic also creates an effortless glide with no snagging, flattening your hair cuticles for silky-smooth results. Plus, it ensures long-life plate wear, protecting the plates against styling products and scratching.
About Advanced Ceramic with Real PearlWhen it comes to ceramic straighteners, the bottom line is the more ceramic, the better. Standard ceramic hair straighteners are made with a single-layer sol-gel based ceramic coating with 70 to 80 percent ceramic content.
The Pearl Straightener features a dual-layer ceramic coating, which effectively doubles the amount of that all-important ceramic content and significantly improves the straightener's performance.
Tests have found that Advanced Ceramic with real pearl outperforms standard ceramic in many capacities. For one, it has 15 times more ceramic than other standard ceramic models, providing a high, even heat. It's also eight times smoother than standard models, meaning the plates move through the hair more easily with less snagging. And because it's 85-percent harder and five times more durable than standard models, it's more scratch-proof and lasts longer, so you can look forward to long-term use.
Fast to Heat Up and Slow to Lose HeatIdeal for those on-the-go mornings, the Pearl Straightener is ready to use 15 seconds after switch-on. Throughout styling, it maintains a near-constant temperature and keeps heat loss to a minimum, thanks to its optimized electronics. It also helps you stay in control with precise temperature controls, an easy-to-read digital display, and temperature lock.
Selecting the heat level that's right for you is simple: just use the plus and minus buttons to adjust the temperature, then secure it with the temperature control lock.
Long, Slim Plates for Silky StrokesEvery component of the Pearl Straightener's plates makes it effortless to use. Their generous length means you can style more of your hair in one stroke, while their slim frame fits neatly in your hand without feeling bulky.
Safe, Easy Use with Auto Shut-off FunctionIf you've ever left the house and worried that you forgot to switch off your straightener, you can breathe a sigh of relief. The Pearl Straightener's auto shut-off function takes effect after 60 minutes. And when you've finished styling, it's easy to store away with its handy hinge-lock. For maneuverability, it boasts a long swivel cord.
This straightener also features worldwide voltage, so there's no need to skimp on your style routine, whether you're at home or abroad.
The Pearl Straightener is backed by a four-year warranty.
Remington has been helping the world get ready for over 70 years.
