It heats up extremely fast and does a good job at straightening my hair (I happen to be an African-American) and I would recommend for all types of ethnic hair. No product in the hair is needed seeing that this flat iron leaves your hair super straight with a high shine. The same iron can be purchased in the mall at a kiosk for up to $200.00 so this price is a steal and well worth the money!

(More customer reviews)I've used a chi and maxi glide in the past and this one by far is the best!!! With a chi or maxi I would have to go over the same area of hair about 3 or 4 times for it to get straight and with the Corioliss I only have to run it though once, it's amazing. I have very thick stubborn wavy hair that used to take me an hour to an hour in a half to straighten and now in 15-20 minutes I'm done :) I just kind of wish I knew they sold it on Amazon before I spent $120 on it at the mall, but either way it's worth the price and like I said it's better than the Chi and better than Maxi Glide. The only down to it is that if you use it on the highest setting your hair kind of gets a burnt smell to it, but goes away after about 15 minutes and smells like your shampoo or products again. Definitly worth the money, the one at the mall does offer a 2 year warranty on it though.

(More customer reviews)I went to the LA County Fair where Corioliss has a large display stand and chairs to do hair curling/straightening demonstrations with their flat iron. She curled the ends of my hair with a straightener and I LOVED it, so I paid $80 and went on my way. I used it 3 times since then. On the 4th try, it wouldn't get hot. It would warm up, and then turn off. I was luckily able to go back to the Fair to exchange it, which they did with no problems. But the new one I received won't stay on now. I've tried it in different outlets, started with the heat down low, power on OFF, then turned ON, and it still won't get hot. The light goes out and that's it. They have a stand at the Ontario Mills Mall, so now I have to go there to exchange it AGAIN because they do not issue refunds. On one hand, when I was able to curl my hair, it came out great, just like they advertise. It was shiny, silky, beautiful full curls that lasted all day. And I have super straight asian hair and was totally impressed with the results. But what's the point in standing up for a product that cost $80 and doesn't work when I want it to?! Definitely not worth the money or the hassle to drive around town to have it exchanged. There's got to be a more reliable flat iron out there that does the same thing but doesn't short out. I wish I knew this before I lost money on it.

(More customer reviews)This product is a good one IF you can find it for a good price on the Internet (as opposed to buying at the mall). The mall will trap you into paying $130 or more for this iron, and to be honest, I think the ones they use for demonstrations are better models. That seems odd, but when the girl at the mall curled my hair, it came out FANTASTIC! I even curled pieces with the same iron in the mall while the girl showed me how-and the curls were nice and bouncy. Then of course, when you get home, it doesn't work the way you want it to. Overall, I'd say that with some practice to style hair the way you want, this iron is pretty good. I also have a HAI convertible (my second one) which is my favorite-does not let me down and I can do all the same things (flips, curls, straight, etc.) with it. DON"T GET SUCKERED INTO BUYING AT THE MALL!!

Gets hot quick, stays hot, and the plates are 100%ceramic, so it glides without snagging. I get hair straight in one pass the way my old revlon iron used to do in 6 or 7. Definitely worth the money.

After reviewing the Angelique hearing that it was supposedly better then the herstyler and the very popular CHI, I decided to try it. I was very disappointed the first time I used it. Yeah my hair got straight, but it was still thick and fluffy and felt coarse like. The angelique also pulled on my hair. This product also does not allow you to adjust the temperature. I would recommend the herstyler over this product. The Herstyler would always leave my hair pin straight, shiny and smooth. My hair is thick, wavy and slightly frizzy. I have also been dying my hair for years and the herstyler keeps it looking healthy. The herstyler also allows you to adjust the temperature for finer hair. I will warn you though that it does not last forever, but I totally agree it is worth buying over again. Do NOT however purchase this product at the mall. You can find it online for more than 50% off of what they will try to charge you at a kiosk.

I got this for a great price of only $35 and it works wonderfully. My hair look shiny and Chinese straight when I use this flat iron. (More customer reviews)I love this flat iron! It makes my hair silky and perfectly straight, and I can curl with it, which is kind of amazing to me. And when I curl my hair with it it stays curly forever- which never happens with the regular curling irons I use, or even hot rollers. And I definitely would buy it here on Amazon vs. the kiosks in the mall where they charge you $200! Oh and it gets hot quickly which is great in the mornings when I'm pressed for time getting ready for work. And I love that it's pink. Overall, I love this product and highly recommend it!

At first I was going to buy the HAI one until the store I went to didn't carry that brand. I looked at this one and it was the same exact iron just with a lower price! I was a little skeptical at first because of this but by skepticism went out the window when I used it. My hair looked like it was professionally styled! My hair usually gets frizzy by the end of the day but not with this iron. It even curls your hair! I had a nice flipped hairstyle in no time, and the day after, I used it again and got a nice straight do. This iron heats up very quickly and did not burn my thin and freshly relaxed hair. It even has grooves on the outside of the iron that act as a comb when you turn it to curl the ends of your hair. I am very happy with this product. The only thing I wish is that I would have bought it off of this website first. I paid $50 at the beauty supply store. Oh well it is worth every penny!
