There is a long "swivel" cord for ease of movement, and small finger indentations on the ends of the plates so you can apply additional pressure if desired. The main drawback to this crimper is the metal crimping plates are exposed on the sides of the crimper - the sides get very hot which makes it easy to burn your skin or scalp if you are not careful.
