(More customer reviews)I have used many different flat irons from Hot Tools to CHI. None of them lasted over a year- they just stopped heating up. I purchased this infrashine flat iron about 5 years ago and its still going strong! My mom had the same one and hers just started going out- It still heats up, but it loses a lot of heat during use and therefore must keep reheating to the appropriate temp.
A friend of mine just purchased a brand new Infrashine and the only difference I can tell between her new one and my old one is that mine has lost some of its surface smoothness.. I think the ceramic may have worn down after 5 years of DAILY use! haha
I am going to purchase a new one because I liked the smooth feeling, but my old one still works great. My friends who use it say its a million times better than their brand new cheapo flat irons.
The infrashine lasts a long time, it gets super hot, it doesn't seem to be extremely damaging to my hair (all flat irons do to some extent, right!), it heats up super quick, and it takes me about 7 minutes total to flat iron my long really frizzy hair! i love it.
