(More customer reviews)I purchased this in addition to my le angelique clipless iron. While curling my hair, I put the hot iron in the holder so that it wouldn't burn my countertop. I noticed a burning smell, so when I pulled out my iron, part of the "heat resistant" holder melted onto my iron. I could see a small part of the bottom of the holder, where the iron rests, closer towards the edge of the holder where there is a dip, had melted enough to smell the burn and see it melted. I even had to wipe of some of the "heat resistant" holder residue off my iron. Le angelique should test it with their own hot irons and if it does melt, note the limitations on their product descriptions and packaging. The idea earned two stars but didn't quite meet "heat resistance".
