(More customer reviews)this iron is great, the only problem I had with it is that I didn't use the glove and ended up burning myself 3 times, pretty bad too. So I would recommend using the glove atleast until you are a pro at it. But, it curled my hair so well, I did have to take small 1/2 inch sections and keep it in my hair for about 30 seconds to get that tight ringlet I wanted. I curled my 7 year old daughters hair too and found I had to hold it in there that long too to acheive that great curl. I really love that you don't have that clip to deal with. And I am very impatient and I enjoy not having to deal with the clip I just grab some hair and wrap it around hold it and Voila!! Great Buy!! I am not one that ever uses a curling iron either, but this was just so easy to use for me.. Can't go wrong buying this one. Watch Youtube videos on how to use it to achieve the right curl you are looking for. Whether you want a tight ringlet or just a beach wave look... Oh and also the curl held all day, I even woke up the next morning and the waves that were left looked so good that I just ran my fingers thru my hair and was good to go.
