(More customer reviews)I have not tested it for traveling yet. I purchased it, because I needed one that would be compact for traveling. It is bigger than I thought it would be, but the fold up handle is nice. It is very durable feeling. I do not like that it is sooo loud. It was suppose to be less noise. I do like the ions feature. It does seem to make my hair shiny and give it more body. Even though it is less heat than my other blow dryer, it blows your hair dry fast and probably with less damage due to the ions.

more of a bob cut so it just gives me more of a smooth look. But you could use it in any area where you need more of a straight look. I use it for touch
ups also during the day if my hair frizzes up a bit. It has a nice temperature control also. I do not use the really high heat on my hair and it still
does the job. Some people might need more of the heat turned up to get the result they need.

(More customer reviews)You know that it isn't going to be like the full size counterparts, seeing as it is travel sized AND so much cheaper, so my expectations for it were right in sync. The flat iron takes a bit longer to heat up, and a little of getting used to if your used to a full size CHI, but it works wonderfully! Sometimes I do the rotate thing to make it curl, and I think it looks better on this one than the full sized one. The hair dryer packs a mean punch for something so small, and it dries my hair in the same amount of time as a full size, but its not as hot so I actually like it better. The sizes are great for travel or gym locker-room use, and I highly recommend them. And they also come with the travel pack and CHI products! Definitely a steal. I can fit my shampoo, conditioner and styling products and comb in the pockets for the gym (but I put my shampoo and conditioner in travel bottles to save room), so it's the perfect travel accessory. I purchased this one THROUGH amazon, not a store on amazon, and I ordered it on a Friday and received it Monday MORNING even though they said 2-3 business days. I was very impressed with both the product and Amazon.

Braun answered my email by saying it no longer makes them.So while you can -- buy them at Amazon and buy all the energy cells you can. This product will soon not be available at all. That's too bad. I love my Braun cordless curling iron, although it does not last long and I usually have to buy a new one each 9-12 months.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for two reasons. One, I wanted to be able to take my flat iron to the gym and not have to wrap it in a towel to keep it from burning the bag when I was done. Two, I have recently mobile twins and they kept trying to pull the hot irons from the counter. So, either way as soon as I finished with the iron (flat or 1.5" curling iron) I would slide it in the bag and stash the cord in the handy external pocket. It looks neat, it is safe and it protects my gym bag. It is not as cool looking as some of the other ones, but it does a great job.

(More customer reviews)I bought this item a month ago and I've used it at least twice a week when I'm out and the weather doesn't agree with me (I have very freezy hair). This product takes 1 min to warm up (2 mins if you want it piping hot) and straightens up each chunck of hair in one stroke. The only thing I'm skeptical about is how long the special Conair battery will last and how much the replacement will cost...I'll worry about that when the time comes :p
Pros:
- Warms up quickly
- Does the job
- Adds some sort of glossy look to the hair

Cons:
- Uses a patented Conair battery instead of more common AA or AAA.
- You have to wait a few minutes after you're done before putting the piece back in it's compact casing (for peace of mind...not likely to set your purse on fire though)

(More customer reviews)I love these rollers. In fact, I'm on my third set. If you close the lid they do get very very hot, and they don't take up much room on the bathroom counter. My only complaint is that they take up a huge amount of room in a suitcase. And, the plastic lid cracks. In fact, that's why I'm on my third set. After about a year of business trips, the lid will be cracked beyond use. So, I'm going to buy another set of these for the bathroom counter, and try another brand for the road.

I didn't want the hassle of using a voltage converter because you can only use one electric item at a time, unless you buy more than one converter kit. You do need a plug adaptor, (these are relatively inexpensive), then you just switch the voltage, plug it in and it works great. I used it in Switzerland, France and Italy. When I came home to the States I just switched the voltage back and I now use it at home. It is small and takes up very little space in the suitcase. I would recommend it for anyone in need of a hair dryer traveling abroad.

(More customer reviews)This product is leaps and bounds above it's other price-range curling irons - it gets very hot relatively quickly and is pretty easy to use.
Unfortunately you do get what you pay for (and I was ripped off paying $45 at the beauty store for it.) After about 2 days of use, there was a short in the rotating cord and if the iron is held at an odd angle, it turned off. It was still usable, but I had to modify the way I curled my hair to avoid it turning off and losing heat. After about 6 months, you can see the ceramic coating chipping off a little - and I used the iron about 3-4x per month.
If you're in the market for a cheap curling iron - I would suggest this because compared to the Revlon, Remington and Conair brands I've had in the past, this is the closest to a high end curling iron among them - most likely you will have better luck with your iron than I did.
