I wore my hair in cornrows primarily while deployed because of the harsh conditions and limited supply of water. When I took my hair down I didn't want to perm it because of the water situation so I would flat iron my hair in order to be able to pull it up in a ponytail. These irons would leave my hair soft as though I had a fresh perm. I purchased a pair for myself and haven't been disappointed with my purchase. My roommate paid over $100 for the pair she has which she bought from a kiosk in the mall. I have a great product at a fraction of the cost. I love it.
